Returned to his alma mater in 1937 and launched an intensive effort to expand the intramural program at Harding, which grew to include the participation of more than 90 percent of the students.
Developed Searcy's Little League program, the first of its kind in Arkansas.
Coached Harding's 1938 baseball team to the Arkansas Intercollegiate Championship.
Named athletics director in 1957 when Harding resumed intercollegiate athletics ... also served as the head baseball coach.
Led the 1965 bowling team to the AIC championship.
