- Received 12 athletic letters in four different sports (four in baseball and basketball, three in football and one in bowling).
- Harding's first M.E. Berryhill Award winner.
- 1963 AIC Scholar-Athlete runner-up.
- Three-time All-AIC catcher in baseball (1961, 1962, 1963).
- Two-time All-AIC honorable mention in football (1961, 1962) ... led Harding in rushing with 430 yards and six touchdowns in 1961 ... rushed for 754 yards on 186 career with seven touchdowns in his career ... added three interceptions on defense.
- Served as the head baseball coach at Harding from 1989-1993 ... won 90 career games.
