BISMARK, Ark. - The Harding men's golf team placed third of four teams at the 54-hole OBU Invitational contested Monday and Tuesday at DeGray Lake State Park. The course was a par 72 and covered 6,930 yards.
Harding improved each round, shooting 308 in round one, 305 in round two and 304 in round three for a 917 total. It was Harding's fifth-best total ever in a three-round tournament. Henderson State won the event with an 896.
Freshman
Blake Chase shot a 2-under 70 in round two and finished fourth with a 224 total. It was his third round of par or better this season and his second top-5 finish.
Sophomore
Bruce McMullen placed tied for seventh at 228. He shot an even-par 72 in round three, also his third round of par or better this year.
Brandon Cauldwell placed 11th for Harding at 232,
Lewis Jackson was 14th at 235 and
Dustin Richter was 15th at 237.
Ben Cuzen of Henderson State won the individual title with a 3-under, 213. He finished four strokes ahead of second-place Jon Spikes of Arkansas Tech.
