Bison Soccer Falls 5-1 to #17 Central Arkansas

Harding Completes Season 3-12-1

CONWAY, ARK. - The Harding men's soccer season came to an end Friday with a 5-1 loss to 17th-ranked Central Arkansas on Friday. The Bisons ended their season with a 3-12-1 overall record and a 1-6-1 mark in Gulf South Conference play.

Central Arkansas improved to 13-2-1 overall and 7-1-0 in the GSC. Matt Marlin scored three goals for the Bears, two coming in the first half. Nick Hankins and Wade Luethy also netted goals for UCA.

Harding freshman Carter Truax scored his first career goal in the game's 34th minute on assists from Ben Faris and Brady Wallace.

Bison keeper Ryan Hamilton had 12 saves in the game, his sixth game of the season with 10 or more saves. Ian Goodman had four stops for UCA.

Three Bison seniors--Faris, Russell Corley, and Jonathan Edwards--played their final collegiate game Friday for Harding. Faris ends his career has the Bisons' career goal-scoring leader with 41 goals.
