Box Score MONTICELLO, ARK. – Arkansas-Monticello connected on nine three-pointers and forced 27 Harding turnovers in the Cotton Blossoms’ 77-67 Gulf South Conference victory over the Lady Bisons, Monday at Steelman Field House.
The loss dropped Harding to 8-5 overall and 0-2 in the GSC. Arkansas-Monticello improved to 7-6 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Harding shot only 24% in the first half and trailed 35-28 at the break. The Lady Bisons shot much better in the second half, connecting on 15-of-24 shots (63%) but also committed 16 turnovers after the break.
Freshman Catherine McMenamy led the Lady Bisons for the second straight game with 13 points. Chelsea Simpson and Jacque Fredendall each had 10 points. Fredendall had a team-high nine rebounds.
Wendy Young, TeAundra Harden, and Shenai Limbrick each had 17 points for the Cotton Blossoms, who had only 12 turnovers in the game and were outrebounded 50-32.
Harding is back in action Thursday in Magnolia against Southern Arkansas.
