Katelin Parks Ties Harding's Match Record with 28 Kills

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Lady Bison volleyball player Katelin Parks tied Harding’s match record with 28 kills versus Washburn Saturday at the Henderson State Classic. Harding lost to #12 Washburn but forced the Lady Blues to five games with scores of 30-28, 30-23, 26-30, 19-30, 15-9. The Lady Bisons came back to defeat Southwest Baptist and finished 1-3 on the weekend in Arkadelphia. Harding sits at 19-8 overall with three regular season matches left.
 
Southwest Baptist dropped to 5-25 after the loss to Harding with scores of 30-21, 30-22, and 30-27 in the quick 3-0 victory for the Lady Bisons. Katie Westmoreland had 16 kills in each match for 32 on the day. Parks added 10 more kills against Southwest Baptist for 38. Leah Tepe notched 61 assists against Washburn alone while Meredith Rosenbaum collected 28 digs against the Lady Blues.
 
Harding will take the court again at home in Searcy versus Henderson State on Tues., Oct. 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rhodes Field Hosue.
