SEARCY, Ark. – The Lady Bisons suffered their second three-game loss of the season to No. 20 North Alabama, Saturday at the Rhodes Field House. Harding and North Alabama lead their respective divisions of the Gulf South Conference with perfect 7-0 GSC records. UNA improved to 17-5 overall and HU dropped to 16-5. Game scores for the match were 30-24, 30-17, 30-25.
The Lady Bisons struggled on offense and defense, hitting only .165 for the match and having 12 serve receive errors. The Lions hit .325 and had 6.5 total blocks. UNA helped out the Lady Bisons with 12 service errors.
North Alabama’s Danielle Palasak led the match with 21 kills and five service aces. Nilcia Oliveira followed Palasak with 11 kills. Laura Bellinger had 40 assists for the Lions.
Harding takes to the road for six straight matches next week. The Lady Bisons take on Southern Arkansas in Magnolia on Tues., Oct. 10 at 7:00 p.m. followed by Arkansas-Monticello on Thurs., Oct. 12.
