SEARCY - Harding had a school-record 33 assists on 38 field goals and cruised past Champion Baptist 93-41 in a non-conference men's basketball game Saturday at the Rhodes Field House. Nine of the Bisons' 11 players had at least one assist, and junior Reggie Bibb led the team with eight. Harding's previous assist record was 32, set on three different occasions.

Harding (12-8) used its superior size and quickness to outscore Champion Baptist 58-16 in the paint and 30-2 on fast breaks.

Junior Patrick Andrepont led the Bisons with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Cole Kee added 18 points and Lonnie Smith had 14.

Champion Baptist (3-14) shot just 28% in the game. Forward Aaron Weido led Eagles with 10 points.

Harding returns to Gulf South Conference play Monday night against Arkansas-Monticello.
