TEXARKANA, TEXAS – The Harding men’s tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches with a 7-2 victory over Dallas Baptist on Saturday. The Bisons have won seven of their last eight and improved to 12-3 on the season. Dallas Baptist fell to 6-8.
Harding, ranked No. 7 in the NCAA II South Region, won all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. The Bisons’ No. 2 team of Ryan Roberts and Ethan Bryant remained perfect on the season at 6-0 with an 8-4 win over Travis Dixon and Kerry Koppa. The No. 3 team of Patrick Owen and Enrique Mendoza stayed unbeaten at 5-0.
The Bisons won four of the six singles matches, collecting straight sets wins from Bryant (No. 3), Richard Rios (No. 4), and Brett Hoch (No. 6). Roberts needed three sets to defeat Nick Langham at No. 2.
Harding is back in action Tuesday on the road at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
