March 31, 2006

Milena Chisaca won her singles match by a 6-0, 6-2 score.
SEARCY – In a women’s tennis match that was much closer than the score would indicate, 30th-ranked Central Arkansas ended Harding’s five-match winning streak with a 7-1 victory over the Lady Bisons on Friday.

Central Arkansas won all three doubles match in close fashion, with No. 2 doubles extending to 16 games before the Bears won 9-7.

Harding’s lone win in singles came at No. 3 where Milena Chisaca downed Sanja Stankovic 6-0, 6-2.

The loss dropped the Lady Bisons to 15-4 overall and 1-1 in the Gulf South Conference. Harding has a chance to right itself on Monday when the squad takes on Southern Arkansas in league play. A victory would give Harding head coach David Elliott 999 wins in his career.
