Harding's Katelin Parks Sets Match Record

SEARCY, Ark. – Harding junior Katelin Parks set Harding’s match record Tuesday night with 22 kills in the three-game match versus Arkansas-Monticello. The Lady Bisons won the match with scores of 30-24, 30-21, and 30-24 while improving their record to 11-3 overall and 3-0 in Gulf South Conference action. The Cotton Blossoms dropped to 9-6 and 1-2 in conference play.
 
Parks notched her fifth career  20+ kill match and her second this season along with a .475 hitting percentage on the night. Teammate Tiffany Morrison added 16 kills and a .667 attack percentage. Meredith Rosenbaum played an important part on defense with 26 digs, her 20th career 20+ dig match. Leah Tepe had 47 assists against the Cotton Blossoms.
 
Arkansas-Monticello took over at the net with 12 blocks but had only 37 kills and 35 assists. Harding totaled 53 kills and 51 assists.
 
Leading the Cotton Blossoms was Kameshia Melton with 13 kills and seven total blocks.
 
Harding starts a non-conference road stint on Friday, Sept. 22 at Drury, then on Sat. Sept. 23 at Missouri Southern State.
