Parks Notches Second Consecutive 20+ Kill Match

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Harding University’s Katelin Parks notched her second consecutive 20+ kill match Friday night, leading the Lady Bisons to a 3-0 win over Drury. Harding improved to 12-3 overall while Drury dropped to 6-10. Games scores were 30-26, 30-21, and 30-19.
 
The Lady Bisons out-played the Panthers in every category ending with 58 kills, 53 assists, 48 digs and seven total blocks. Harding’s .387 hitting percentage ranks in the top 10 of Harding’s all-time record book. The Lady Bisons held the Panthers to 36 kills and assists, 45 digs, and five blocks. Drury hit .168 for the match.
 
Parks recorded  her sixth career 20+ kill match with 21 versus Drury along with a stellar .415 attack percentage. Senior Tiffany Morrison added 12 kills and five digs and block assists. Sophomore Leah Tepe helped herself to her eighth double-double this season with 49 assists and 12 digs.
 
The Panthers were led by Coutrney Hendrickson with 15 kills. Tedi Thoreson notched a double-double for Drury with 20 assists and 10 digs.
 
The Lady Bisons continue non-conference action Sat., Sept. 23 at 11:00 a.m. in Joplin, Mo. against Missouri Southern State.
