Box Score

SEARCY - The Harding women's soccer team thwarted the West Florida offensive attack for more than 80 minutes, but Lady Argo forward Audia Sullivan scored with just under seven minutes left in regulation to lift UWF to a 1-0 victory over the Lady Bisons, Sunday in Gulf South Conference action.

West Florida (5-1-2, 2-0-0) pressured Harding throughout the game, but the Lady Bison defense continually rebuffed the Lady Argos advances into the offensive end. Harding freshman goalkeeper Chelsea Hornbeck made seven saves as West Florida launched 18 shots to eight for the Lady Bisons.

Harding (2-2-3, 1-1-0) could have picked up key points in the race for the GSC Tournament with an upset win or a tie. The Lady Bisons, who were shutout for the first time this season, will play their next three conference games on the road, beginning Friday, Sept. 29 at Delta State.

UWF's Sheka Codner intercepted a pass at the top of the box and slid a pass towards goal. Sullivan deflected the ball past Hornbeck for the goal.

Courtney Jones made two saves for the Lady Argos and posted her fourth consecutive shutout.
