Harding Keeps Perfect Conference Record

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Lady Bisons are now the only team with a perfect conference record in the West division of the Gulf South Conference. Harding defeated Henderson State Tuesday night in three games with game scores of 30-25, 30-21, 30-28. The Lady Bisons improved to 13-4 and 4-0 in the GSC while the Lady Reddies fell to 14-5 and 3-1 in conference action ending their winning streak with 12.

The Lady Reddies went ahead in game one by as many as five but could not hold on to the lead. Harding revved up its offense in the second game with a .326 hitting percentage and 20 kills. Henderson went up 28-27 in the last game but three straight kills by the Lady Bisons pushed them ahead for the win.

Katie Westmoreland came away with a 14 kills along with seven block assists for Harding. Katelin Parks continued her trend of strong offense leading with 16 kills and adding 10 digs for her second career double-double. Meredith Rosenbaum registered 21 digs for the Lady Bisons while Leah Tepe notched 47 assists.

Henderson was led by Rose Euppah with 14 kills, Rachel Norton with 37 assists, and Bethany Wright with 21 digs.

The Lady Bisons continue road conference action at Arkansas Tech on Thurs., Sept. 28 at 7:00 p.m. in Russellville, Ark.
