Harding Downs Another Conference Foe in Three Games

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Lady Bisons held another Gulf South Conference team to three games Thursday night with a victory over Arkansas Tech. Harding has won four of its five conference matches in three games each. Game scores for the match were 30-21, 30-21, and 30-17. The Lady Bisons improved to a 14-4 overall record and a flawless 5-0 GSC record while the Golden Suns fell to 12-10 and 1-4.
 
The Lady Bisons pieced together a solid performance against the Golden Suns with a .322 hitting percentage and 10.5 blocks. Leading the offense was Katie Westmoreland hitting .522, with 12 kills and no hitting errors. Westmoreland also proved strong on defense with five block assists and one solo. Katelin Parks and Tiffany Morrison added 13 and 10 kills, respectively. Leah Tepe has all but one of Harding’s 47 assists and Meredith Rosenbaum marked her fifth 20+ dig match this season with 22 digs.
 
Arkansas Tech’s Rachael Urquhart led the match with 14 kills while teammate Natosha Saltus added 10.
 
Harding is slated for three consecutive home matches next week with the first on Oct. 3 at 7:00 p.m. versus Ouachita Baptist. OBU is now 3-2 after defeating Henderson State Thursday night in three games.
