CLEVELAND, MISS. – Delta State senior midfielder David Voravongsa headed in a corner kick in the eighth minute to give the Statesmen a 1-0 victory over Harding on Friday in Gulf South Conference play.

Delta State (5-5-1, 1-0-0) defeated Harding for the first time in four matches. The Bisons (0-9-0, 0-3-0) continue their search for their first win of the season on Sunday at Alabama-Huntsville. It was Harding's fifth one-goal loss in 2006.
