Lady Bison Soccer Upsets #18 Barry, 3-0

Senior Laura Bullington scored her third career game-winning goal in HU's 3-0 upset of Barry.

MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The Lady Bisons soccer team won their first game of the season, shutting out 18th ranked Barry University 3-0 at Signaigo Field on the campus of Christian Brothers University. With the win, Harding improves to 1-2-2 on the year while Barry falls to 1-2-1.
 
Senior Laura Bullington scored in the 11th minute of the game on an assist from Amy Durgin, marking her third career game-winning goal. Freshman Lindsey Dowdy gave the Bisons a 2-0 lead when she netted her second goal of the season. Kendyl Washburn rounded out the scoring on a cross from right by Lynsey Clissold in the 68th minute.
 
Washburn’s goal moves her up to sole possession of fourth place on the all-time scoring list and just one goal shy of tying Andrea Richmond for third.
 
Goalkeeper Chelsea Hornbeck recorded her first career victory and shutout as a Lady Bison.
 
Harding is now 3-9-2 against nationally ranked opponents. Their last victory came September 23 of last year against Tampa, winning by a score of 3-2 at home.
 
The Lady Bisons will play again at Searcy on Monday against Nova Southeastern beginning at 4 p.m.
