ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Five Harding volleyball players posted at least 10 digs in the Lady Bisons' win over Ouachita Baptist. The match went to five games with scores of 34-32, 20-30, 30-23, 20-30, and 15-10. The Gulf South Conference win improved Harding's record to 17-7 overall and 5-1 in conference play while the Lady Tigers dropped to 11-15 overall and 3-3 in the GSC.

 

Shellie Rummer led the Lady Bisons on offense with a .271 hitting percentage with 18 kills. Leah Tepe also held up the offensive front with 60 assists. Tepe had 13 digs and Emily Tate, Katelin Parks, and Manuela Nesheva had 10 digs each. Meredith Rosenbaum led the match with 39 digs. Manuela Nesheva had 20 kills and Sarah Phipps added 14.

 

As a team, the Lady Bisons were short of the Lady Tigers, hitting only .184, with 71 kills, 90 digs and six blocks. OBU hit .256 with 77 kills, 100 digs and 11 blocks.

 

Breanne Garret had a standout match with 24 kills while Meredith Henry added 21 for the Lady Tigers. Brettney Cheatham and Becky Cunningham had over 20 digs each.

 

The Lady Bisons continue GSC play on Thurs. with a match against Southern Arkansas in Searcy, Ark., at the Rhodes Field House. The match will begin at 7 p.m. Harding defeated SAU earlier this season in three games.
