CANYON, Texas – Harding fell to #4 West Texas A&M on Saturday night by a score of 83-67. The Lady Buffs improved to 2-2 and the Lady Bisons dropped to 3-2. The loss ended the West Texas A&M Tournament where the Lady Bisons went 0-2.
Harding struggled in the first half, falling behind by 21 points at the break. The Lady Buffs kept ahead of Harding but were out-scored in the second half, 39-34.
Kelsea Lyda led the Lady Bisons in scoring for the second time this season, dropping in 22 points. Lakyn Garrison and Catherine McMenamy followed with 12 each and Kinsey Tucker added 10. Kristen Donnell had a team-high eight rebounds. Harding hit 33.9 percent from the field (20-59) and 38.1 percent from three-point range.
West Texas A&M was led by Jamie Dreiling with 21 points and 12 rebounds. The Lady Buffs made 45.2 percent of their field goals and had 10 more rebounds than the Lady Bisons (47-37).
The Lady Bisons return home for two weekend games. They are slated to play York on Friday, Nov. 30 and Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday, Dec. 1. Both games will begin at 5:30 p.m.
