Harding Bisons fall to UAH 74-66

SEARCY - The Alabama-Huntsville Chargers rallied for a second-half lead as the Harding Bisons lost their first home game of the season 74-66 at Rhodes Field House on Saturday night.

Tyler Hanback dunked with 7:50 left in the second half to give the Chargers a 59-57 lead, and Harding (3-4) came within one point but could never catch up for the rest of the game.

Senior Matt Hall scored 10 points in the second half and led the Harding with 24 points, and senior Jacob Thies matched a career-high with 11 points.

Alabama-Huntsville (3-3) took advantage of success from three-point range, hitting 10-of-22 (45.5 percent) shots while the Bisons made only 5-of-24 (20.8 percent).

Srdan Boskovic paced the Chargers with 16 points, and Jordan Brewer added 12 points.

Senior Chris Dixon tied the game 34-34 on a jumper with 2:23 remaining in the first half. Junior Stephen Barnett gave Harding a one-point lead on a free throw, and Hall scored a jumper as Harding led 37-34 at halftime.

The Bisons will host North Alabama, a member of the Gulf South Conference, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
