RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. - The Harding women's tennis team downed Arkansas Tech, 9-0 on Thursday. The win helped Harding get back to their winning ways after suffering only the second defeat of the year on Tuesday to UALR. The win bumps Harding up to an 11-2 overall record and a 5-0 NCAA II South Region mark.
The Lady Bisons, ranked fifth in the latest South Region rankings, cruised to wins in all nine matches on Thursday for the seventh time this season. Junior Karina Gomes kept her perfect singles record alive at 12-0.
The victory improved Harding's all-time record against Arkansas Tech to 26-0.
The Lady Bison's next match is Wednesday, Mar. 21 against LeMoyne-Owen. The match is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Harding Tennis Courts.
