MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Harding Bisons took two of the three Gulf South Conference games against Christian Brothers with a win Saturday afternoon by a score of 12-6. Harding centerfielder, Adam Darby, had a double, a triple and two homeruns in the game with six RBI. They were Darby's fifth and sixth homeruns on the season. The Bisons improved to 26-17 overall and 3-9 in conference play. The Bucs dropped to 19-21 and 3-8 in the GSC.
Harding leftfielder Dare Saul opened the game with a homer followed by Ryan Moody's walk and Darby's two-run homer. The early lead helped the Bisons keep the momentum throughout the game. Saul also managed a triple and two RBI.
The Bisons totaled 12 hits, of which, only four were singles. Christian Brothers tallied seven hits and two errors in the game.
Harding's Michael Skinner (2-5) grabbed the win with eight innings of work. The junior starter struck out four batters and allowed six runs (three earned). John Daush (3-5) suffered the loss for the Bucs, allowing seven earned runs and walking eight Harding batters.
The Bisons will take the field again on April 10 at Lyon College in Batesville, Ark. The single game is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
