FLORENCE, Ala. – The Lady Bison volleyball team started off strong against Nova Southeastern, but the Lady Sharks battled back and forth with Harding before defeating the Lady Bisons in five games. Game scores at the North Alabama Crossover were 20-30, 30-23, 21-30, 30-24, and 15-13. Harding dropped to 10-4 while the Lady Sharks improved to 9-4.

This was Harding's second loss this season in a five-game match. The Lady Bisons hit below .200 for the match for the fourth time this season – all four matches were losses. The Lady Sharks hit .242 for the match and totaled 12 more kills than the Lady Bisons (69-to-57).

Harding had two players with double-doubles. Manuela Nesheva led the team with 16 kills and added 12 digs while Leah Tepe managed 46 assists and 17 digs. Tepe also had seven kills with no hitting errors (.636). Meredith Rosenbaum grabbed 27 digs for her seventh 20+ dig match this season. Katelin Parks added 15 kills.

Nova Southeastern had five players with double-digit kills including leaders Paola Ruiz and Aley Tallman with 14 kills each. The Lady Sharks were plagued with 12 service errors but had nine blocks on the Lady Bisons. Harding had six.

The Lady Bisons will continue at the North Alabama Crossover with Barry on Sat. at 1:30 p.m. and North Alabama at 7:30 p.m.
