SEARCY – Senior Kristen Donnell scored a career-high 17 points to help lead the Harding Lady Bisons to an 87-61 victory over the Ouachita Baptist Lady Tigers at Rhodes Field House on Saturday night.

Harding (12-4, 2-1 Gulf South) rebounded from its 70-58 loss to Delta State earlier this week by winning its fourth consecutive game against the Lady Tigers. Ouachita Baptist (3-13, 0-3) has now lost eight games in a row.

The Lady Bisons took the lead in the opening minute on a pair of free throws by senior Kinsey Tucker and quickly built a 7-0 lead. Donnell scored a layup to give Harding a 24-13 lead with 10:41 left in the first half, and the Lady Bisons led by 10 or more points the rest of the game.

Freshman Lakyn Garrison scored two three-pointers over the final two minutes of the half – including a last-second shot to end the half – and the Lady Bisons led 56-32 at halftime.

Donnell, whose previous career high was 11 points in a win against Central Arkansas earlier this season, scored 12 points by halftime. She also led the Lady Bisons with nine rebounds.

Garrison finished with 15 points, and Tucker recorded 12 points and a team-leading eight assists. Sophomore Kaitlin May added 11 points for Harding.

Ouachita Baptist turned the ball over 27 times, and Harding outscored the Lady Tigers 37-8 in points off turnovers. The Lady Bisons had just 11 turnovers.

Freshman Gabby Coleman led the Lady Tigers with 18 points.

The Lady Bisons will host Arkansas Tech on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m.
