Bison Baseball Drops Two to UNA

FLORENCE, Ala. – The Bisons dropped two games to North Alabama on Saturday afternoon with scores of 11-1 and 10-7. Harding fell to 11-7 with the losses while the Lions improved to 11-3.

Errors plagued the Bisons in game one with four miscues while the Lions out-hit the Bisons 15-to-4. D.A. Kremer (2-1) claimed the loss for Harding with 4 and a third innings of work. Kremer struck out six batters and allowed eight runs (five earned).

Branden Tepe (3-0) earned the win for North Alabama with seven strikeouts. Kyle Jones, Matt Horton and Jeff Ritter had three hits each in game one for the Lions.

The Bisons had more success at the plate in game two but came up short. Harding had eight hits to North Alabama's 11. Each team had one error in the second game. Four Bisons homered in the loss – J.D. Glenn, Ryan Moody, Aaron Roberts, and Zach Fisher. Moody and Fisher drove in two runs in the game and Bo Whitaker led the team with two hits.

Michael Skinner took the loss for Harding after allowing nine runs, seven earned. Ryan Miller earned the win for the Lions with four innings on the mound and five strikeouts.

The Bisons play at North Alabama again on Sunday, March 2 at 1 p.m.
