Harding Drops One to #12 OBU

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Bison baseball team scored one run in the first inning on a double by Aaron Roberts and then left the rest of the scoring to #12 Ouachita Baptist. The OBU Tigers came back to defeat Harding, 7-1 after HU swept OBU yesterday. Ouachita Baptist improved to 25-7 overall and 2-4 in GSC play while the Bisons are 15-14 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Tiger pitcher Chase Baran (5-1) took the win with seven innings of work and eight strikeouts. Gilbert Tellez (2-3) started the game for the Bisons and took the loss. Troy Keith pitched the bulk of Harding's innings, allowing three hits and no earned runs in six innings.

Harding tallied four hits in the game with one each by Roberts and seniors Bo Whitaker, Jon David Glenn, and Matt Stevens. Justin Pennell led the Tigers hitting 3-for-3 with a double and two singles.

The Bisons host North Alabama for a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, March 25 at 1 p.m. at Jerry Moore Field. Harding's next conference opponent will be Delta State next weekend in Searcy.
