Bisons Fall to West Florida

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Bisons dropped their seventh straight road game  as the West Florida Argos defeated Harding, 14-4. The Bisons are now 11-10 overall after a 7-1 start and the Argos are 11-12.

 

West Florida out-hit the Bisons, 12-8 and ended the game with five runs in the bottom of the eighth on the 10-run rule. Bo Whitaker, Matt Stevens, and Randall Hunt led the Bisons with two hits each and Whitaker had a team-high three RBI.

 

C. Westcott led the Argos with four hits in five at-bats. The only extra-base hits in the game were by Harding's J.D. Glenn and Bo Whitaker – each with a double.

 

Teare took the win for West Florida after four and a third innings. Kenny Barnett took the loss for the Bisons.

 

Harding returns to Jerry Moore Field for a doubleheader against Missouri Western on March 11 at 1 p.m. before the Bisons begin Gulf South Conference play.
