SEARCY – Southern Arkansas committed 30 total errors as the Harding volleyball team swept the Lady Muleriders 3-0 in Gulf South Conference action. With the win, the Lady Bisons move to 19-3 on the season and 6-1 in the GSC West Division.

The Lady Bisons fell behind early in set one, 8-5 but Harding went on a 5-1 run to take the lead 10-9. The Lady Muleriders took back there lead on a 5-1 run but the Lady Bisons quickly answered with a 12-2 run and took the set, 25-18.

Harding came out of the gate in the second set taking an 11-5 lead and didn't look back as the Lady Bisons took the set, 25-19.

In set three, Harding again jumped out to an 8-3 lead. Southern Arkansas tried to battle their way back into the set but the Lady Bisons defense wouldn't allow it, taking set three 25-12.

The Lady Bisons were led by senior outside hitter Manuela Nesheva who had nine kills and eight digs. Junior Samantha Anderson also added nine kills. Senior Sarah Phipps and Emily Tate both had eight digs for Harding in the match.

Senior outside hitter Danielle Sneed led the Lady Muleriders with 10 kills. Crystal Roberts and Courtney Nutt each had a team leading seven digs.

The Lady Bisons will travel to Orlando, Fla., this weekend to take part in the Rollins Regional Tournament. Harding will take on three Sunshine State Conference schools and GSC East Division foe Valdosta State. In the first match in the tournament the Lady Bisons will play Lynn at 1 p.m., on Saturday.
