SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team takes a break from conference play as they host Missouri S&T and Arkansas-Fort Smith Saturday at the Rhodes Field House. Harding will take on Arkansas-Fort Smith at 1 p.m., and Missouri S&T at 6 p.m. The Lady Bisons head into the matches with a 22-5 record.

When the Lady Bisons take the court against Arkansas-Fort Smith, it will be the first meeting between the two teams. The Lady Lions have a 25-3 record on the season and are on a 12 game win streak. They are also 2-0 against Gulf South Conference teams.

Harding traveled to Missouri S&T earlier this season. The Lady Miners beat the Lady Bisons, 3-1 to tie the series at 1-1.

The Lady Miners are led by Julie Meyer who is averaging 3.55 kills per set and is second on the team in digs averaging 2.68. Missouri S&T's defense is led by Bridget Williams who is averaging 4.07 digs pet set.

Senior outside hitter Manuela Nesheva continues to lead the Lady Bisons averaging 4.36 kills per set, ranking second in the GSC and fifth in NCAA II. She also averages 2.42 digs per set. Reigning defense player of the week, Emily Tate leads the Lady Bisons defense averaging 4.62 digs per set, ranking second in the GSC.

Arkansas-Fort Smith will play Missouri S&T between the two Harding matches at 3:30 p.m.
