Volleyball Takes on West Alabama in Semifinals of GSC Tournament

SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team takes on West Alabama in the semifinals of the Gulf South Conference tournament Saturday at 2:30 p.m., in the Rhodes Field House. Harding heads into the match with a 28-6 overall record.

Harding leads the series between the two teams with a 6-1 record. The Lady Bisons last played the Tigers last season in the GSC Tournament, Harding advanced with a 3-2 victory.

Harding is led by senior Manuela Nesheva who averages 4.44 kills per set, ranking her second in the GSC and sixth in the NCAA Division II. The Lady Bisons defense is led by junior Emily Tate who averages, 4.71 digs per set, ranking her second in the GSC.

West Alabama, who is 29-7 on the season, is led by Jessica Crook who averages 3.10 kills per set. Thais Hollerbach leads the defense averaging 3.37 digs per set.
