EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The 20th-ranked Harding University men's cross country team will make a run at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Saturday. The 10-kilometer race begins at 1 p.m. at the University of Southern Indiana Cross Country Course.
Harding qualified for the national meet by winning its ninth NCAA Division II South Region championship in Tampa, Fla., on Nov. 7. Bison sophomore Daniel Kirwa won the individual regional championship and will be one of the favorites at the national meet. Kirwa placed seventh at the national championship as a freshman.
Last year, Harding placed sixth in the national meet, run in the ice in Slippery Rock, Pa. The Bisons have finished in the top 10 six times with their best finish coming in 2003 when Harding placed third.
