SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team continues their stint on the road heading to Rolla, Mo., to face Missouri S&T Tuesday at 7 p.m. It is the fifth of nine games the Lady Bisons will play before their first home game on Sept., 8.
The last time the two teams met was in 2007 when the Lady Bisons swept the Lady Miners, 3-0. Harding leads the series 1-0.
This past weekend, the Lady Miners went 1-3 in the Missouri Southern Invitational. It was the same tournament the Lady Bisons went 3-1 in. Missouri S&T's only win came against Midwestern State.
The Lady Bisons are led by senior outside hitter Manuela Nesheva who is averaging 4.28 kills per set and 2.56 digs per set. Nesheva has had a double-double in all four Harding matches this season. Junior Emily Tate leads the Lady Bisons defense averaging 4.11 digs per set.
Sophomore outside hitter Julie Meyer leads the Lady Miners on offense averaging 4.12 kill per set. On the defensive side, Missouri S&T is led by junior Bridget Williams who is averaging 3.94 digs per set.
