Volleyball Looks to Extend Winning Streak Saturday

SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team travels to Batesville, Ark., to face Lyon College on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Lady Bisons were also scheduled to play Trevecca Nazarene but due to the Trojans having the flu the match was cancelled. Harding is 13-2 on the season and look to improve on a ten game winning streak.

Harding has an 18-0 record against Lyon. In the last meeting, Harding won 3-0 in Searcy.

The Lady Bisons are led by senior outside hitter Manuela Nesheva who is averaging 4.31 kills per set ranking her second in the Gulf South Conference. Nesheva also averages 2.39 digs per set. On the defensive side, junior Emily Tate leads the Lady Bisons averaging 4.33 digs per set.

Harding has held its opponents to a .130 hitting percentage this season, ranking them second in the GSC.

Lyon (6-12) is led by Katie Beineke who is averaging 2.30 kills per set.
