Volleyball Heads to Texas Woman’s Tournament

SEARCY – The Lady Bison volleyball team heads to Denton, Texas this weekend to take part in the Texas Woman's Tournament. In the two day event, Harding will play four matches. The Lady Bisons open against Southwestern Oklahoma State on Friday at 11 a.m.

It's only the second time SWOSU has met Harding, the first was in 2005 when the Lady Bisons walked with a 3-0 victory. In the second match on Friday, Harding takes on Texas A&M-Kingsville at 4 p.m. The Lady Bisons led the series 4-3. On Saturday, Harding plays East Central Oklahoma at noon.  The match will be the first ever meeting between the two teams. To wrap up the tournament, the Lady Bisons will take on host team Texas Woman's at 5 p.m. Harding has an 8-7 edge in the series.

Harding is led by senior Manuela Nesheva who is averaging 4.14 kills per set ranking her second in the Gulf South Conference in kills per set. On the defensive side of the ball, junior Emily Tate averages 3.86 digs per set.
