Volleyball Continues GSC Play Thursday Hosting CBU

SEARCY – The Harding volleyball looks to extend their winning streak to 13 games Thursday as they host Christian Brothers in Gulf South Conference West Division action at 7 p.m., in the Rhodes Field House. Harding heads into the match with a 15-2 overall record and 2-0 in the GSC West Division.

The Lady Bisons have the upper hand in the series, leading 37-13. Harding defeated Christian Brothers in both GSC matches last season. The Lady Bucs are 12-8 overall and 1-1 in the GSC West. Henderson State swept Christian Brothers 3-0, for their only conference loss.

Harding is led by senior outside hitter Manuela Nesheva who is averaging 4.26 kills per set ranking her second in the GSC and seventh in the NCAA Division II. Nesheva also ranks fourth on the team in digs averaging 2.33 a set. Leading the way in the dig category is junior Emily Tate who averages 4.48 digs per set ranking her second in the GSC.

As a team, Harding's defense ranks second in the GSC in digs and is limiting opponents to a .129 hitting percentage, also second in the conference.

Christian Brothers is led by Hanna Orendorff who averages 2.83 kills per set. The Lady Bucs defense is led by Corinne Doder who averages 3.79 digs per set.
