SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team looks for their third-straight Gulf South Conference win Thursday as they host Henderson State at 7 p.m., in the Rhodes Field House. The Lady Bisons head into the match with an 8-8 overall record and a 3-1 GSC West Division record.
It will be the 60th meeting between the two teams. Harding holds the upper hand in the series, leading 37-22. The Lady Bisons defeated the Lady Reddies 3-1 in the last meeting.
Harding is led by a power-hitting duo comprised of freshman outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 3.95 kills per set, ranking her third in the GSC and sophomore outside hitter Reagan Smith who averages 2.98 kills per set, ranking her eighth in the GSC.
The Harding defense is led by senior defensive specialist Emily Tate, reigning GSC defender of the week, who averages 4.63 digs per set. At the net, Harding is led by junior middle blocker Alex Smith who has 37 blocks on the season.
The Lady Reddies head into the match with an 11-7 overall record and a 3-1 GSC West Division record. Their only conference loss came against Christian Brothers. Henderson State is led by Robin Law who averages 4.57 kills per set, ranking her first in the GSC. Law also averages 4.15 digs per set, ranking ninth in the GSC.
