SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team takes the Rhodes Field House floor for the final time this season as they host Ouachita Baptist at 7 p.m., in Gulf South Conference action. After the match, the Lady Bisons will recognize two seniors, Emily Tate and Samantha Anderson, for their contributions to the Harding volleyball program.
Harding heads in the match with a 16-10 overall record and a 9-2 GSC West Division record. Currently the Lady Bisons are in second place in the GSC West Division. Harding has already wrapped up a GSC Tournament spot on Nov. 12-13 but they are still fighting for what seed they will be.
The Lady Bisons are led by freshman outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 4.10 kills per set, ranking her second in the GSC. The Harding defense is led by senior defensive specialist Emily Tate who averages 5.32 digs per set, ranking her third in the GSC. At the net, the Lady Bisons are led by Alex Smith who has 53 blocks on the season.
Ouachita Baptist has three players that average over two kills per set, leading the way is Megan Askew who averages 2.46 kills per set. The Tigers are led on defense by Allison Frizzell who averages 6.91 digs per set, ranking her first in the GSC.
Harding leads the series between the two teams, 46-21. Harding and Ouachita Baptist met earlier this season in Arkadelphia, Ark. The Lady Bisons walked away with a 3-2 victory.
