SEARCY – The Harding men's cross country team, ranked No. 1 in the preseason South Region Poll, enters the 2010 season ranked No. 9 nationally. The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its preseason national rankings Wednesday.

Harding finished ninth at the NCAA National Meet last season, its sixth top-10 finish in the last seven years.

The Bisons are the only team from the South Region in the Top 25.

Harding begins the 2010 season at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo., on Sept. 18.
