Volleyball Hosts Southern Arkansas to Open GSC Play

SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team opens Gulf South Conference play Tuesday night as they host Southern Arkansas at 7 p.m., in the Rhodes Field House. It will also be the home opener for the Lady Bisons. Harding heads into the match with a 5-7 overall record.

Southern Arkansas heads into the match with a 6-3 record after winning their last three straight. The Lady Muleriders are led by Becca Pate who averages 2.92 kills per set and three digs per set. Kahli Remy leads the Southern Arkansas defense, averaging 3.35 digs per set.

The Lady Bisons are led by freshman outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 3.80 kills per set ranking her third in the GSC. Arnold ranks second in the GSC in service aces per set, averaging 0.63 a set. Senior defensive specialist Emily Tate leads the Lady Bisons on defense, averaging 4.34 digs per set, ranking her third in the GSC.

The Lady Bisons lead the all-time series against the Lady Muleriders, 34-27.
