SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer looks to snap a three-game losing streak as they open Gulf South Conference play on the road against Alabama-Huntsville and Delta State. The Lady Bisons head into the weekend with a 1-5-1 record.
On Friday, Harding will face Alabama-Huntsville at 1 p.m. The Lady Chargers are 3-2 and average 13.8 shots per game and 1.78 goals per game. UAH is led by two freshman forwards, Khadijah Jennah and Cady Reisman who each have two goals on the season. Alabama-Huntsville won the last meeting 3-0 in Searcy last season to tie the series 5-5-1.
On Sunday, Harding travels to Cleveland, Miss., to face Delta State at 3 p.m. The Lady Statesmen are 3-4 and average 8.1 shots per game and 1.39 goals per game. Delta State is led by freshman forward Payten Pearson who has two goals and one assist for Delta State. Harding leads the series 6-1. The Lady Bisons won the last meeting 3-0 in Searcy last season.
Harding is led by junior forwards, Paola Eusse and Chelsea Brandon who each have two goals. Eusse and freshman forward Adriana Lucar lead the Lady Bisons in assists with two.
Senior goalkeeper Chelsea Hornbeck averages 7.14 saves per game for the Lady Bisons, ranking first in the GSC.
