SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team continues their two game road swing Thursday as they travel to Memphis to take on Christian Brothers at 7 p.m., in Gulf South Conference action. The Lady Bisons look to rebound after a difficult conference loss to Arkansas Tech on Tuesday. Harding heads into the match with a 6-8 overall record and a 1-1 GSC West Division record.
The Lady Bisons have won the last 17 straight meetings between the two teams and hold the series lead 39-14.
Harding is led by a power-hitting duo that is comprised of freshman outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 3.90 kills per set, ranking her third in the GSC and sophomore outside hitter Reagan Smith who averages 3.02 kills per set, ranking her seventh in the GSC.
Senior defensive specialist leads the Lady Bisons in defense, averaging 4.43 digs per set. At the net, Harding is led by junior middle-blocker Alex Smith who has 30 blocks on the season and averages 0.61 blocks per set.
Christian Brothers comes into the match with a 8-9 overall record and after defeating Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist they are 2-0 in the GSC West Division. The Lady Bucs are led by Hailey Gillis who averages 2.34 kills per set. CBU is also led by Michelle Hein and Kelly Nolan who each average 2.02 kills per set.
The Lady Bucs are led on defense by Corinne Doder who averages 4.58 digs per set.
