Women’s Soccer Travels to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday

SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team looks to start the 2010 season 2-0 on Tuesday, as they head to Pine Bluff, Ark., to face Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 4 p.m. It will be only the second time the two teams have met. The two teams tied last season, 1-1.

The Lady Bisons opened the season with a 3-1 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday.

Harding is led by two forwards, freshman Adriana Lucar and junior Paola Eusse who each had a goal and assist in the season opener.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff is a NCAA Division I school and a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The Lady Lions have started the season with a 2-2 record. They defeated Ozarks 9-0 and Centenary 7-0 but fell to Arkansas State 1-0 in overtime and Louisiana Tech, 3-1.

Junior midfielder Jade West and junior forward Nicole Parks-Powell lead the Lady Lions with four goals apiece. West also has three assists on the season. Junior midfielder Silvia Fuentes leads UAPB with six assists.
