SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team continues Great American Conference action on Tuesday as they host Henderson State at 7 p.m., at the Rhodes Field House. The Lady Bisons head into the match with a 16-5 overall record and a 7-1 GAC record.
Harding is led by sophomore outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 3.93 kills (ranks third in the GAC) and 3.55 digs per set (ranks ninth in the GAC). Fellow sophomore middle blocker Alyssa Short leads HU in hitting with a .313 hitting percentage (ranks second in the GAC).
The Lady Bison defense is led by sophomore defensive specialist Weslynn Williams who averages 4.43 digs per set (ranks fifth in the GAC)
As a team, Harding leads the GAC in assists per set (12.16) and kills per set (13.16).
Henderson State (4-16, 0-8 GAC) is led by Ty Lindberg who averages 4.09 kills per set (ranks second in the GAC) and 2.88 digs per set.
Harding leads the series between the two teams, 40-22. Earlier this season in Arkadelphia, Ark., the Lady Bisons defeated the Lady Reddies 3-0.
