SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team swept Henderson State on Tuesday 3-0 in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons improved to 17-5 overall and 8-1 in the GAC.

HU has won their last three straight conference matches.

The Harding defense forced 22 Henderson State errors and had eight team blocks in the match. Junior right-side hitter Bailee Graham had a career-high six blocks for the Lady Bisons. Harding freshman middle blocker Liv Savage also captured a career high in blocks with four.

HU was led by sophomore outside hitter Mollie Arnold who had a match-high nine kills. Sophomore defensive specialist Weslynn Williams, reigning GAC Defensive Player of the Week, led the HU defense with 13 digs.

The Lady Reddies (4-17, 0-9 GAC) were led by Ty Lindberg who had eight kills. HSU was led on defense by Lauren Ray who had a match-high 15 digs. At the net, Henderson State was led by Jessica Moss who had four solo blocks.

Harding will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to Arkadelphia, Ark., to face Ouachita Baptist at 7 p.m.
