Volleyball Travels to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday

SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team continues Great American Conference action on Thursday as they travel to Arkadelphia, Ark., to face Ouachita Baptist at 7 p.m. The Lady Bisons head in the match with a 17-5 overall record and an 8-1 GAC record.

Harding has won their last three straight GAC matches and currently in second place in the GAC standings.

The Lady Bisons are led by sophomore outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 3.90 kills (ranks third in the GAC) and 3.52 digs per set (ranks ninth in the GAC). Sophomore middle blocker Alyssa Short leads HU in hitting with a .315 hitting percentage (ranks second in the GAC).

Harding is led on defense by sophomore defensive specialist Weslynn Williams (reigning GAC Defender of the Week) who averages 4.43 digs per set (ranks fifth in digs).

Ouachita Baptist heads into the match with a 12-11 overall record and a 3-6 GAC record. The Lady Tigers are led by Megan Askew who averages 2.64 kills per set. OBU is led on defense by Allison Frizzell who averages 5.47 digs per set (ranks third in the GAC).

Harding leads the series between the two teams, 48-21. When the two teams met earlier this season in Searcy, HU swept OBU 3-0.
