Arnold Leads Lady Bison Volleyball over East Central

SEARCY – Sophomore outside hitter Mollie Arnold had 10 kills and a season-high .500 hitting percentage as the Harding volleyball team defeated East Central 3-0 in Great American Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Arnold had 20 attempts, a season low, and no errors in the match.

The Harding (18-6, 9-2 GAC) defense forced 21 East Central hitting errors and had seven team blocks in the match. Senior defensive specialist Amber Parker and sophomore defensive specialist Weslynn Williams led the Lady Bisons defense with 13 digs. At the net Harding was led by freshman middle blocker Liv Savage who had five blocks.

Junior setter Amber Schinzing controlled the Harding offensive and finished with 32 assists.

East Central (8-13, 4-5 GAC) was led by Noelle Cope who had 14 kills for the Lady Tigers.

Harding will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Arkansas-Monticello at 7 p.m., in Great American Conference action. The Lady Bisons will be wearing pink jerseys in the match as they “Play for the Cure.” Pink and black t-shirts will be on sale before and after the match for $10.
