SEARCY – The Harding women's soccer team fell to Christian Brothers in non-conference action on Sunday 5-1. The Lady Bisons fall to 4-11-1 on the season.
Harding got on the board first in the eighth minute when sophomore midfielder Erin Haltiwanger sent in a cross to the middle of the box for sophomore Ashley Royce to clean up for her second goal of the season.
Little over a minute later, the Lady Bucs tied the game 1-1 when Anna Laskarzewska found the lower left corner of the net off an indirect free kick taken by Mallory Geraci.
In the 16th minute, Allison Tutt dribbled up the left side of the field and found the upper right corner of the goal to give Christian Brothers a 2-1 lead.
With seven minutes remaining in the first half, Danielle Schager sent a pass to Carmen Manes who did a turn-around move at the top of the box and found the lower right corner to give CBU a 3-1 advantage into halftime.
The second half was all Christian Brothers. Sarah Catherine Ryan took a shot inside the box and rebounded off the HU goalkeeper as Tutt found the back of the net for her second goal of the game.
CBU sealed the victory with 30 seconds remaining in the game as Emily Smith dribbled up the right side and found the lower left corner of the goal.
Sophomore forward Adriana Lucar led HU with three shots, all on goal.
After the game, the Lady Bisons honored senior Chelsea Brandon for her contribution to the Harding soccer program.
Harding will end the regular season on Friday as they travel to Arkadelphia, Ark., face Ouachita Baptist at 1 p.m.
