ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Harding women's soccer team fell at Ouachita Baptist on Friday in Great American Conference action 3-0 to end the regular season. The Lady Bisons fall to 4-12-1 overall and 0-6 in the GAC.
The Lady Tigers got on the board first in the 31st minute when Mary Whisenhunt sent a ball off a free kick into the box. Taylor Gay headed the ball into the goal to put OBU up 1-0.
With 16 seconds left in the first half, Ouachita Baptist netted their second goal when Allison Drobena found the back of the net.
The Lady Tigers put the game out of reach in the 56th minute when Miranda Lytle took advantage of a mishap by the HU goalkeeper to give OBU a 3-0 lead.
GAC leading goal scorer Adriana Lucar led Harding with two shots, both on goal. OBU only allowed six shots by the Lady Bisons.
Freshman goalkeeper Danielle Nonaka had 12 saves for Harding.
Beth Wendl and Sarah McKimmey both led Ouachita Baptist in the shot category with four each. The Lady Tigers took 23 shots, 15 on goal.
The Lady Bisons will participate in the GAC tournament next weekend. The winner of the East Central and Southwestern Okla. St. game on Saturday will determine the host for the tournament.
