Volleyball Sweeps Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-0

DURANT, Okla. – The Harding volleyball team swept Southeastern Oklahoma State on Saturday in Great American Conference action 3-0. The Lady Bisons improved to 16-5 on the season and 7-1 in the GAC.

Harding had 51 kills, 13 errors on 135 attempts for a .281 hitting percentage. Freshman outside hitter Kalyn Helton led the Lady Bisons with a career-high 17 kills, two errors on 29 attempts for a career-high .517 hitting percentage. Sophomores Mollie Arnold and Alyssa Short both finished with 10 kills.

Harding had 71 digs in the match. Sophomore defensive specialist Weslynn Williams led the Lady Bisons with 22. It was the fourth straight match Williams has had over 20 digs. Arnold captured her fifth straight double-double with 16 digs and sophomore outside hitter Lisa Copeland finished with 12.

Freshman setter Taryn Eubank controlled the Harding offense in the match and finished with a career-high 40 assists.

Lunden Azuara led the Storm (8-14, 5-3 GAC) with 20 kills and 23 digs.

Harding continues GAC action at home this Tuesday as they host Henderson State at 7 p.m., at the Rhodes Field House.
