SEARCY – The Harding volleyball team enters the postseason on Friday as they take on Southwestern Oklahoma St., at 2:30 p.m., in the first round of the Great American Conference Tournament hosted by Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark. In the three conferences the Lady Bisons have been in, it's the 12th straight season HU has made the conference tournament.

Harding will be the second seed in the tournament. It's the third time Harding has been the number two seed in the conference tournament. Since joining the NCAA in 1997, the Lady Bisons have only won one conference tournament. HU won the 2003 Gulf South Conference Tournament.

It will be the third time this season Harding has played Southwestern Oklahoma St. The Lady Bisons defeated the Bulldogs in both matches by a score of 3-2. Harding leads the series between the two teams 4-0.

Harding is led by sophomore outside hitter Mollie Arnold who averages 3.97 kills (ranks second in the GAC) and 3.53 digs per set (ranks ninth in the GAC).

Southwestern Oklahoma St., heads into the tournament as the seventh seed after a 5-11 conference record. The Bulldogs (9-18) have lost their last four matches, including the last three conference matches by a 3-2 score. SWOSU is led by LaKendra Sanders who averages 3.39 kills per set. The Bulldogs are led on defense by Sladjana Smiljanic who averages 5.78 digs per set.
